About Us

Ground Wire is a hyperlocal news platform and the official digital news channel of VY VNGUARD PRIVATE LIMITED. Focused on the Hindi belt, we deliver raw, real, and unfiltered news through credible citizen journalism.

We move beyond the traditional stringer model of legacy media by aggregating multimedia updates, ground reports, and public-interest stories from freelance citizen contributors across rural and small-town India. Our goal is to amplify authentic local voices on issues that matter most to communities.

The founding team consists of trained journalists from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) with professional experience in print, broadcast, and public relations at established media brands. Through new media, Ground Wire aims to foster citizen journalism and advance digital literacy in hyperlocal rural India.
